DoTank:Brooklyn partnered with Transportation Alternatives, MARP, Design Trust for Public Space and Architecture for Humanity NY to host this NYC’s official Park(ing) Day Afterparty, transforming the unlikely site of a parking lot underneath the BQE into a community potluck event.
The event took place at Washington and Park Ave., near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The Brooklyn Navy Yard was the source for all the pallets used in the project.
DoTank:Brooklyn led the construction of one 40 foot table and 5 chairs made from used shipping pallets. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped build over the past few weekends!
